WordPress has realesed a preview of its latest version, WordPress 2.5, with lots of new features and a refreshing new user interface. The new features include ability to customize dashboard, multi-file upload, built-in support for galleries and Gravatars, one-click plugin upgrades, tag management, full text feeds, and faster loading. Here is the screenshot of new dashboard:

I found some of the features to be really great and thoughtful like:

1. Multiple file upload and One-click plugin upgrade which will save a lot of time and efforts for regular bloggers.

2. The “Preview Post” feature which was removed from WordPress 2.2 has been brought back.

3. Easy navigation with focus on primary functions.

4. Ability to manage posts, pages, categories, media, tags etc from a unified interface making more user friendly.

According to the WordPress blog, the new version is stable and can be released today itself but they are waiting for feedback from initial users before making a general public release. If you can’t wait for public release and want to start using the new platform immediately, click here to download it.
