Ustream.TV API launched

Today, it seems like API launch day.  Mashable reports that Ustream.TV has launched its API.  In my previous post, I had covered the launch of FriendFeed API.

The Ustream API is not as comprehensive as FriendFeed and it also limits the number of calls to 5000 per developer key per day.  In nutshell, this is what you can do with Ustream API:

  • Access content from Ustream.TV website
  • Search for people, videos and channels
  • Extract statistical data about users, channels etc.

If you are a developer, have a look at the API documentation or check out the Application Gallery.
