The API can be used to develop notification based events for mobile phones and threaded messaging features for managing conversations from both mobile and web concurrently.  The applications built on top of Frengo’s OpenSocial toolkit will beopensocial able to make use of SMS, WAP, MMS, handset recognition and transcoding.  The developers will also be able to use Frengo’s image handling feature for mobile phones which lets the users share photos on social networks.

Frengo will let the developers monetize their mobile applications through its own social advertising network and premium SMS feature.

OpenSocial is really rocking these days with Yahoo joining the OpenSocial Foundation and hi5′s launch of its developer platform.
