Nielsen Is Acquiring IAG Research For $225 Million

Nielsen has announced that it will acquire IAG Research for $225 million in an all cashnielsen_logo  deal.  The Nielsen company has signed a definitive agreement regarding the acquisition.

Nielsen currently offers full suite of market  research, market intelligence, audience  measurement and engagement tracking iag research logoservices across business lines and communication modes like Internet, T.V., Mobile etc.  Acquiring IAG will add product placement and T.V. & online advertising effectiveness to Nielsen’s offerings and a big list of customers which IAG has.

The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of this year and will result in IAG’s merger with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nielsen.  The executive team from IAG will join Nielsen post the merger.
