I never for a moment believed it to be anything more than an accidental posting on the Google blog and I said so in my post on Web Worker Daily.
My post was more about Google’s lack of a task/to-do application, than to react to TechCrunch’s post as if it were news. I only used the TC post as a starting point.
I was actually making a joke about the 37Signals dust-up with Google the day before… ![]()
Hi!
Your post shared exactly my point:)
In case it wasn’t obvious enough I tried to be sarcastic: over-excited about something like a todo-list just because it was made by Google ![]()
To Everyone,
This post was just to show how the information driven by a powerful blog moves rapidly into the blogosphere. The other blogs could express in various ways as shown by all these posts and in the comments but the end result of all this is that information takes the entire blogosphere by storm. The post was not targeted towards anyone personally or meant to oppose any person’s opinions.

I was more trying to make a point about how everyone gets so “excited” about new Google products, even if they’re not all that exciting… but you’re right. I did point to the rumor as if it were fact.
