With so many social networking, photo and video sharing sites, it becomes extremely time consuming and difficult to share a photo or video on all of them. For example, if you wish to upload a photo to Flickr, share it on Facebook, post it on Google Blogger blog and send it to multiple email addresses you will need to follow almost the same steps thrice along with drafting an email. The same is applicable for videos as well.
I came across this cool application from Shozu which cuts down on the effort involved in uploading photos to multiple websites. It is very easy and the service is free for use. Shozu allows you to upload photos and videos to sites like Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Google Picasa, Faces, Buzznet, Kodak EasyShare Gallery, Webshots, Moblog.uk, Dada.net, Pikeo, Faces.com, blip.tv and Cellfish. Shozu also supports personal blogging sites like Google Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, Vox, WordPress, Windows Live Spaces and citizen journalism sites like CNN and BBC. You can also send photos and videos to online storage service Box.net as well to any email address or FTP site.
Shozu Desktop
Let’s see how to do it using the Shozu desktop application built with Adobe AIR:
1. Sign up with Shozu and add your “one click” and “CC sites” on Shozu. The one click site is the one which will be visible in the desktop application to you using which you will upload photos or videos. Once you upload the photo or video to the one click site, the CC sites are also updated automatically making it a on-click sharing service.
2. After adding your sites on the Shozu website, you can start uploading your photos and video using the Shozu desktop application. First download and install the Shozu desktop application.
3. Once the application is installed on your computer, all you need to do is just drag and drop the desired photo or video inside the application and click on your one-click site and that’s it. Your photo or video will be uploaded to all the sites that you have added.
Shozu Mobile
In a similar way, you can upload photos and videos to multiple websites using ShoZu’s mobile application which can be downloaded on over 350 mobile phones and offer the same one-click publishing capabilities. Using the mobile client you can also receive Flickr photos and other social media content posted by your friends on your mobile phone automatically as soon as they are posted.
Shozu is definitely a handy application for people who love to share lots of photos and videos on their online communities. The only limitation which I found with Shozu is not being able to upload multiple photos and videos at once as it allows for uploading only one photo or video at a time.
