Google Maps Start Geocoding Your Rooftop

Google has added a new feature in Google Maps API which provides accurate results for over 50 million addresses in the U.S.  Aptly named, rooftop geocoding, the service lets you exactly point the map marker on the roof of any house or building using the street address.  A useful feature for finding the exact location of any building in densely populated areas.

I don’t understand why Google has not integrated this service in Google Maps first before making it a part of the API.  Google Maps still show the results in the middle of the street and does not point out the building.

The example below shows Google’s rooftop; go ahead and find out your own rooftop on Google Maps.
