YouTube Launches Localized Version For India

YouTube has launched its localized version for Indian users.  The Indian version of the video sharing site is hosted at http://in.youtube.com.  Though the Indianized version will have video content from all over the world, the difference lies in the “Videos being watched right now..” and the “Featured Videos” section.  These sections will feature content catering to Indian audience and will reflect their activity on the site as in which videos are Indians watching.

YouTube has also local content producers and their content is featured in the “Promoted Videos” section of the home page.  I could find one big media content company on the home page which is Eros International.
