Moonlight: Silverlight For Linux Available For Download

Moonlight, an open source version of Microsoft’s Silverlight for use on Linuxmoonlight_logo based systems is available for download.  The goal of Moonlight project is to provide a runtime for Silverlight applications on Linux systems and to develop Linux SDK for building Silverlight applications.

Silverlight is Microsoft’s move in the Rich Internet Applications space.  If you wish to know more about Silverlight, you can have a look at my previous post 101 resources for learning, developing and experiencing Silverlight.

Both Moonlight 1.0 and Moonlight 2.0 have been released but the project is still a work-in-progress and might have some bugs.

Download Moonlight to experience Silverlight on Linux.
