Nitendo To Launch “Wii Fit” Game In U.S. To Make Playing Video Games Healthier

In an effort to clean up the image of video games for being unhealthy and makingwii fit people lethargic, Nitendo will launch a game named “Wii Fit” on Monday.  Wii Fit is priced at $90 and is already very popular in Japan where it has sold over 2 million units.

The game is intended to move people out of their seats and make them exercise while playing games on Wii console.  It comes with a “Balance Board” on which the person needs to stand and then it senses changes in the posture to control the screen characters.

Wii Fit performs physical tests like Balance, BMI, Body Control etc. which you check and improve upon by tracking your progress.  It also offers various exercise modes like Yoga and Aerobics to strengthen the body.

HumanaGames is another company which is making efforts to prove that playing video games could be healthier.
