Calais Tagaroo: Semantic Tagging Plugin For WordPress From Thomson Reuters

Thomson Reuters has launched a WordPress plugin, Tagaroo, whichtagaroo logo provides automated semantic tags for your blog posts.  The inclusion of these tags makes the blog post search engine friendly as well as more convenient for the users to find information.  Apart from the metatags, Calais Tagaroo also provides a real-time Flickr photo search which suggests photos on the basis of tags which can be inserted in the blog post.

The tags are generated on the basis of Open Calais semantic metadata engine which suggests tags from various categories like people, organizations, events etc.

The Calais Tagaroo plugin is available for WordPress 2.3 and above and you need to write the post in Internet Explorer 6 and 7, FireFox and Safari for the plugin to work.  Integrating Tagaroo with your WordPres is just like installing any other WordPress plugin and like Akismet plugin, you will need any API key for Tagaroo which is available free of cost.  To start using it, you can download Tagaroo and obtain the Open Calais API key by registering yourself.
