Google Contacts API Now Supports Contact Groups And Contact Photos In The Addressbook

Google Data API team has announced the support for Contact Groups and Contact Photos in the new Google Contacts API.

With Contact Groups functionality, web applications will be able to offer grouping the contacts, access to Google Contact groups, and the basic CRUD operations on contact groups.

The Contact Photos feature will allow for accessing, editing, and removing the contact photos.  The web applications can now show the photos of a user’s contacts besides other details using the API.

I have always been a fan of Google Contacts API and addition of these two features have made it all the more useful for both application developers and users.

Check out the Google Contacts API documentation to know more about these features.
