New Microsoft Live Search Just Rocks
Technology Friday, May 30th, 2008I must admit that I am not a big fan of Live Search but this time Microsoft has made some changes in the Live Search for videos which gives it an edge over others.
You can now search for videos and then filter the search results on the basis of duration as well as sort the search results by date and relevance. But the real magic of the new search is revealed when you hover the mouse on a video thumbnail in search results. The video starts playing within the thumbnail itself which means that you can view the video before deciding to go to the video page.
Microsoft is also experimenting a new search interface under the name of New Live Search which is really nice to look at. Currently, the New Live Search provides the ability to search videos, images, locations using Multimap and xRank Celebrity search.
