Quilts are something that everyone requires to keep warm, especially during the winter months. That’s why starting your own quilt business can be a fantastic way of making some extra money.

You could also start up your own quilt show in a library or public hall. You should be able to hire a hall for use relatively cheaply. Advertise the event using flyers and post cards. Have a guest book so that everyone can leave their details if they are interested.

You don’t have to stop at making just quilts; there are actually a wide range of other items that you can make. There are lots of crafts which can be applied to your business to expand it and make it even more popular.

If quilting is something that you thoroughly enjoy then you could design quilts which look more like paintings. You could offer a service where you make custom quilts of people’s homes and gardens.
